Gingham Girl Designs will exceed your every expectation. Let us help you love your home again one statement piece at a time
Gretchen started sewing in college, repurposed her first piece of furniture shortly thereafter, and attended her first antique festival while pregnant with her first child. She now combines her love of all three and her eye for interior design to create Gingham Girl Designs.
Gretchen Diver's love for using statement pieces in her designs and finding and creating these pieces has earned her awards and landed her in the pages of Detroit home magazine more than once. As an alumnae of Michigan State University and the Fashion Institute of Technology, Gretchen has a diverse design background. She is launching this website to share her talents and products with a larger base of potential clients, customers, and fellow antique lovers.
Gretchen lives on a 10 acre farm in Clarkston, Michigan with her husband, 3 boys, 2 dogs, 4 horses, 3 goats, and 3 bunnies. Diver led the complete renovation of her farm house, and she was in charge of all remodeling and decoration as well. Her home serves as an inspiration to her daily work, and Gretchen has a continuous array of exciting projects taking place at any given time.
What people are saying about Gingham Girl Designs
"As an extremely busy working mother of 4 kids, it was probably pretty obvious to admit my house ended up hopelessly outdated. When I finally decided to begin to update a few things, I was crazy lucky to have found Gretchen. What started as one room quickly grew to 6 rooms. Her unique style of decorating has included keeping some items, updating others with her special touch, and mixing in her fun finds. "
"Some rooms were complete overhauls, while others added her quick fixes to transform the room on a lower budget. Needless to say I would highly recommend Gretchen for any designing project you may have. When my house is complete I am going to miss the fun texts with items she has found on her adventures!"
